Claire trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Her theatre credits include Widow Corney in Oliver! for Frinton Summer Theatre, Wardrobe Mistress/Confidante in the 25th Anniversary Tour of The Phantom of the Opera where she also covered/played the role of Carlotta, Betty in The Screams of Kitty Genovese at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Greta Neff in The Witches of Eastwick UK Tour, she also covered and played the role of Felicia Gabriel to great acclaim at The Playhouse in Edinburgh, Madame de la Grande Bouche in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast UK Tour and The Badminton Theatre, Athens, Mrs Bixby in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket, Zandra/Irene/Mary in Jerry Springer: The Opera at the Cambridge Theatre, shown on BBC2. Before this she was part of the Olivier Award winning ensemble in Jerry Springer: The Opera at the National Theatre. Claire returned to the National Theatre in 2010 to take part workshops for 57 Hours in The House of Culture by Pete M Wyer and Bryony Lavery with director Phylida Lloyd.
In 2014 Claire took her first steps in the world of cabaret. Having made a successful cabaret debut at The Pheasantry in Chelsea in 2014 she devised a new cabaret show “How did it come to this?”. After a very successful performance she is now working on her second cabaret show, “Better in the 80s”.
A trained opera singer, her opera credits include Norina in Don Pasquale for Scottish Opera, Euridice in Rossi’s Orfeo at St John’s Smith Square, Constanze in Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Fiordiligi in Cosi fan tutte, the title role in Handel’s Alcina, Pamina in The Magic Flute, Countess Almaviva in The Marriage of Figaro and Giulia in Rossini’s The Silken Ladder. Claire also sang the role of Violetta in La Traviata for education projects at the Royal Opera House and for English Touring Opera.
